Single Island Press
Single Island Press was founded in 2006 by Madeleine Findlay to publish contemporary haiku inspired by the masters beginning with Basho in the 17th century. The history of haiku and haiku criticism plays a big part in the scope of what the Press hopes to find in contemporary haiku. Although the Press specializes in this area, there are other areas of interest that include haibun (prose and haiku), fiction and memoir.
